Attorney Gilbert W. Cox, Jr. was born and raised in the Town of Needham and has practiced law at our current location since 1962. He is the son of the late Judge Gilbert W. Cox who was the Presiding Justice of the Dedham District Court for 27 years.
Attorney Cox completed his legal studies at Boston University and was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1962. He is also licensed to practice in the United States Court, District of Massachusetts.
Attorney Cox served as a State Representative in the Massachusetts Legislature for nine years and is a longstanding Town Meeting member (over 45 years) for the Town of Needham. He has served in the United States Navy as a pilot for active duty and in the Naval Reserves for 20 years. He achieved the rank of Commander.
Attorney Cox is on the Board of Directors of the Charles River Association for Retarded Citizens and is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA), Massachusetts Real Estate Bar Association (REBA), Massachusetts Bar Association (MBA) and the Norfolk County Bar Association.
